Career Summary/Capability Statement



I prefer to introduce myself primarily as an artist, and secondarily as an inventor/prototype designer. 


I have gained over twenty-six years of distilled education resulting from experiences in several art-related fields:  sculpture, writing/poetry, and music composition. 


I have also immersed myself in several "more technical" fields: metallurgy, mechanical engineering, electronic design, and computer programming.

Sprague Studios 1997 - present

Sculptor/Prototype Designer 


Sculpted busts, robots, and kinetic sculpture for installation at galleries.  Designed camera dolly, film processor, and viewer/editor film transfer machine for niche film market.


Significant accomplishments:


AMT Foundry 2004 -- 2006

Pourmaster


Poured metal for government, aerospace, and private industry contracts.  Conducted precision welding.  Solved technical problems resulting from equipment malfunctions.

Tallix 2002 -- 2004

Metal Finisher


Responsible for eliminating any elements existing in a cast version of a sculptors work that did not exist in the original prior to being cast in metal.


Significant accomplishments:  


Worked on the masterpieces of such greats as Reuben Nakian, Roy Lichtenstein, Donald De Lue, Mark Kostabi, Jeff Koons, Nancy Graves, Andre Harvey, Willem de Kooning, Frank Stella, and Erte


Studio 1994 -- 1998


Sculpted the prosthetic appliances seen in film, television, and stage.
